Meet Luther

Co-Founder

Born and raised in the greater Nashville area, Luther has always been an entrepreneur at heart, always striving to provide the best products and services in the market.

As the founder of Lumenate, an architectural and landscape lighting design company, he has always found satisfaction in bringing an aesthetic viewpoint to everything he does, including technology.

Luther’s favorite activities include running trails in the parks, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends on the back porch while listening to his favorite tunes.

He is happily residing in Brentwood, Tennessee with his wife Tamara and their children Emily, Lola, Mia, and Case.

Meet Matthew

Co-Founder

Nashville native Matthew began his career as an attorney, later adding a publisher title while running his family publishing company. He has been passionate about music and technology since childhood. From dubbing mixtapes to CD collecting (so-long Columbia House and BMG), his father gave him one of the first commercially available MP3 players that he still has. Now it is curating digital playlists.

Matthew still likes to take some breaks from technology for tennis with his family, backpacking with the kids, Lipscomb Academy, Vandy or Preds’ games, and teaching middle schoolers at church. Matthew lives in Nashville with his wife Heather and their children Brooks, Cash, and Eleanor Mavis.

Matthew and Luther had been friends who started regularly playing ping-pong on Matthew’s deck. During one of these games, they developed their vision to create a smart home and audio video integration business, creating high end and custom solutions for their communities

Originally from California, Jason worked for about 8 years on many commercial and government facilities throughout Southern California. Working his way from technician to project manager. In an unexpected turn, his wife was offered a position in Hawaii, which was too good to pass on. Jason and his wife spent nearly 15 years on the island of Maui, where he started his own AV business and they started a family. 2 of his children were born on Maui and he has many friends there to this day. He worked on some of the biggest resorts and homes on the island. From high performance home theaters, resort presidential suites, outdoor sound systems, meeting and conference rooms and surround sound in every day homes.

In 2015 Jason moved back to his hometown of Riverside, Ca and continued his company there. His family grew and in 2020 they decided to move to Middle Tennessee. Tennessee has become home and they intend to raise their children here. Fast Forward to 2023 and he is thrilled to now be a part of the Mavien family, and his official role is Sales and Operational Support. Helping the very talented company continue to expand, and he enjoys getting his hands dirty as well when needed.
